Mustavuori Oy
Mustavuori Oy is a company founded in the spring of 2018 with the aim of re-establishing and developing ski resort activities in Mustavuori, Tampere. In the spring 2019, Mustavuori Oy won competitive tendering arranged by the city of Tampere in relation to organizing ski resort activities in the region.

Mustavuori Oy works towards turning the slope area into a year-round local activity resort. Large investments to snowmaking systems, LED lighting, Beginner Slope, rope tow, Snow Park, and Family Slope were made for the winter season 2019-2020.
In the summer season 2020, Mustavuori Oy established bike park activities for the first time and continues to improve that and other summer activities. In regards winter activities, future investments will be made to ever improve the snowmaking system and upgrade the infrastructure and facilities.
Varala Sports Institute became a shareholder of Mustavuori Oy in August 2020. Established in 1909, Varala sees the growing potential of the Mustavuori area. In regards, Mustavuori provides for Varala to be able to strengthen its position as a leading sports institution and a pioneer in sports education. In addition, the cooperation enables both companies to benefit from and provide a wider scale of activities and events for groups, companies, and schools as well as to develop sports and coaching operations in a broader sense.
The founders and management of Mustavuori Oy are all enthusiastic skiers and snowboarders. Their passion is to enable skiing for today’s people and future generations in quality conditions in Tampere.
